Here in Send It, ME we run about a week behind. The following happened last weekend in the Phillips and Madrid areas, where the team connected Perham Stream into Orbeton Stream (www.http://www.americanwhitewater.org/content/River/state-summary/state/ME/), and then rallied to Smalls Falls and it's sister Chandler Mill Stream for some highwater action.
Josh Geib ran everything. All others (myself, Chris Hull, Chuck Mathieu) all had at least one portage, and it was medium and high levels in the area. He has really been on fire this season. When he talks about it he says emphatically, "This season I'm about adventure and exploring new runs." Well said my man. More so, Josh has been getting behind the lens to take photos and video, and as you'll see he sends it in front of the camera too. Also, Josh has been working hard at contributing information to American Whitewater's Maine River Info Page, and is an accomplished playboater.
As a team member, Josh's enthusiasm is unmatched. I remember looking into the seal launch at high water Smalls and mentally running the 20 ft to 15ft "Biggie Smalls" sequence when Josh put his arm on my shoulder and said, "Dude you're gonna fire it up, you're gonna send it." That boost of morality really helped me committ to a big drop, at a burly level with confidence. Thanks Bro!
